Flavorseal's Portable Circulating Chiller is a convenient and safe way to quickly chill bagged food to recommended temperatures without investing in large equipment. The removable circulating pump gently agitates the water/ice mixture, promoting water bath cooling consistency within the container, while the lightweight 44 gallon container rolls easily on four sturdy wheels - making it easy to move from the ice machine, to the water, to the drain, then out of the way when not in use.
When used correctly, a circulating water bath can quickly and easily cool up to 20 gallons of product to below 41°F in approximately 2 hours. Food code requirements state that hot food must be cooled from 135°F to 70°F within 2 hours, and from 70°F to 41°F in an additional 4 hours.
