From the packaging we sell to the boxes we recycle, Flavorseal is committed to sustainable business practices that will protect and improve the environment both now and in the years to come.
Sustainability Begins in the Plant
Flavorseal’s recently-formed “Green Team” is a group of dedicated employees continually seeking innovative ways to improve our work environment and reduce the amount of waste our plant contributes to landfills. From expanded recycling programs to educational events for Flavorseal employees, the Green Team is leading the sustainability charge for Flavorseal.
In addition to extensive recycling programs, our facility is equipped with energy efficient lighting, including motion sensor lights that shut off in unused rooms. We undergo regular energy audits to pinpoint potential waste or saving points in our energy usage, and implement technologies to reduce our overall usage wherever possible.
Designing Plastic Packaging for a Better Environment
At Flavorseal, we view it as our responsibility to seek out and develop packaging that is not only environmentally-friendly but also provides superior performance. For example, the chlorine-free formulation of our Bone Guard Shrink Bags and Form Shrink material creates a strong and attractive package, but uses up to 33% less material in each package. Less material in the packaging means less material in our landfills.
We are happy to discuss our sustainability initiative with our customers, and encourage them to join with us in finding new ways to reduce the carbon footprint that our business activities generate. For more information on Flavorseal sustainability practices, contact us at email@example.com.
